With an included variable flame height remote, you can have more control over your flame height, while maintaining a simplistic feel. As a safety pilot, this unit's safety feature will automatically turn off the flow of gas to your burner if your pilot light becomes extinguished, preventing gas from flowing into your living space.

With the included VR-1A remote control, you will not only have control over your fireplace's simple ON/OFF function, but you will be able to control the flame height as well. As an alternative to your remote control, the APK-15 also features easy to navigate controls on the front of the unit. While the included heat shield protects the control components from your robust flames, the included decorative wood chunk hides your controls from view behind a realistic chunk of refractory ceramic "wood".
